 Voronin staying at Anfield?
« Thread Started on Aug 24, 2009, 1:58pm »

Liverpool have no plans to let Andriy Voronin leave the club, according to Hertha Berlin.

Hertha had Voronin on a season-long loan last term and he impressed with 11 goals in the German capital.

The Bundesliga club were hoping to bring him back, either on loan or on a permanent basis, but it seems Voronin is back in the plans of Reds boss Rafa Benitez.

"We have been talking to Liverpool and Rafael Benitez, but we have to stay realistic," general manager Michael Preetz told Spox.

"At this moment they do not only refuse to give Andriy (Voronin) another loan spell away from the club, they do not even want to sell him as well.

"The fact is that he is getting match practice at Liverpool and it looks as if we have to forget this possibility."

Reports in Germany claim Hertha are now turning their attentions to Gremio forward Fernandinho.

Looks like the Ukranian is staying. To be honest I think he should be given another chance. Most Liverpool supporters I know want him gone, but I think if he got a few consistent games under his belt he'd impress. The problem is I can't see RB giving him a run.

I don't think he'll ever be anywhere near good enough at this level, but what else can we do, I don't think we could even afford to bring Robbie back for a 3rd stint the way things are right now :-X

Keep him, we need more experienced bench players. He is s*** though. If Rafa ever starts him, I will shoot myself. I liked Robbie :( I wouldn't mind having him back to be honest...But that's near impossible. Blahhh

He seems to be good enough in Germany, maybe he is just one of those guys that just cannot adapt to the english game.

Should cut your losses with him. Never going to make an impact at Liverpool, never going to be good enough for Liverpool, doesn't svore enough goals. And should be shipped out at the next chance.

Liverpool really need to sort there strikers out!! Need atlesat one or two new strikers in !

Hes useless, as is Ngog. I like Babel, but hes shown nothing so far (but then again hardly played, or in his position).

Babel isn't shite, just not consistent. It's useful having a player who can pull out the world class stuff every blue moon :P Isnt he pushing for a move to Ajax in January?

the problem with babel is they keep playing him out wide when he is a striker, play him up front and he'll score like he did in the champions league. still probably too late for him, voronin and ngog are both absolute s****.
